Barnstable Exterior Trim Replacement | Rot-Proof PVC & Historic Millwork

BARNSTABLE TRIM & FASCIA SERVICES: PRECISION JOINERY FOR COASTAL DURABILITY

Your home’s trim is the first line of defense against the elements. We don’t just “wrap” boards, we engineer solutions that stop the cycle of rot.

Custom PVC Millwork: High-density cellular PVC that captures the aesthetic of traditional wood without the vulnerability to moisture.
Structural Integrity: Every project includes a full inspection of the sub-fascia and rafter tails. We stabilize the skeleton of your home before the finishing work begins.
In-House Craftsmanship: Your project is managed and executed by our uniformed, disciplined crews. We never outsource your home's protection to unknown subcontractors.
Certified Security: Fully Licensed and Insured | CSL 120645 | HIC 198901.

THE EROSION OF ARCHITECTURAL DETAIL IN BARNSTABLE

In Barnstable, exterior trim fails in two distinct ways depending on your proximity to the water:

The Historic Rot (North Side): Along the 6A corridor, shaded lots and mature trees create a micro-climate where wooden rake boards and soffits never fully dry. This dampness leads to "soft rot," which acts as a beacon for woodpeckers and carpenter bees, who hollow out the architectural details of your home.
The Salt Scour (South Side): From Marstons Mills down to Cotuit, the salt air is a relentless abrasive. It lifts paint films from wooden corner boards, allowing moisture to penetrate the grain, causing the wood to swell, crack, and eventually fail.

THE LIONS "DETAIL-FIRST" TRIM PROTOCOL

Our process is structured to handle Barnstable’s varied geography.

Surgical Extraction

We never install over rot. Our team removes every inch of degraded wood to expose the underlying structure. If the "sub-fascia" is soft, we replace it.

Architectural PVC Integration

For homeowners seeking a permanent, maintenance-free solution, we utilize advanced PVC (Azek/Kleer). We mill these boards on-site to match your home’s original profiles. It is impervious to salt, insects, and decay.

The Cortex Fastening Method

We eliminate visible, rusting nail heads. Using the Cortex system, we countersink every fastener and seal it with a plug cut from the exact same PVC material. The result is a seamless, "blind-fastened" look.

Thermal Expansion Management

PVC moves. We use chemical welding agents and specialized scarf joints to ensure that as the seasons change, your trim stays tight and gapping is eliminated.

Heritage Wood Preservation

For properties within the Barnstable Old King’s Highway Historic District, we provide premium vertical-grain Western Red Cedar. We back-prime and seal all edges to maximize the lifespan of traditional materials.

THE FALLACY OF THIN OVERLAYS

Many Barnstable homeowners are sold on “trim capping” with aluminum coil. While cheaper up-front, aluminum is easily dented and offers no structural value. More importantly, it hides the health of your home’s edges. At Lions Siding & Roofing, we believe in Solid Material Replacement. Whether it is solid PVC or premium cedar, our goal is to provide a “one-and-done” solution that adds real value to your asset.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Yuri, my whole career has been spent in the construction business. I am particularly impressed by your company. From sales and estimating through scheduling and field coordinating all of your assets have been far above average. Ty made a great presentation as a sales representative of your company and Iago supervised a very competent crew, responded to my concerns about schedule and finished this job early with little interruption in our lives. Thank you again for your excellent service.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ty Soares, who works for this company, is a kind individual, a man who can be relied on and trusted. He found me stranded and lost with my two dogs in a conservation area parking lot and took time out of his busy day to give my dogs water and he drove me and my dogs to my car which was a few miles away. I am getting an estimate for new windows from this company because if their employees are like Ty, that is who I want to do business with.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Thanks to Yuri, Ty, Gabriel and the entire Lions Roofing Team for an amazing job installing our new roof. From start to finish, this is a first class company that makes sure they deliver what they promise and that the customer is satisfied when the job is complete. Ty did a thorough pre-inspection of both the inside and outside of the roof area, eaves ridge and gutters. The written quote was one of the best I've ever received and they provided copies of their insurance and license for piece of mind. Project Manager Gabriel was on site before, during and after completion, and always available to answer any questions. The overall job was completed in one day, with a follow-up day for a couple of hours to finish a couple of additional requests I had. One point I must bring up was how clean the job site was after they were done. If you have any roofing or siding projects coming up. I give my endorsement to Lions Siding and Roofing!
Thanks again!
