BEST Custom Deck Builders Falmouth MA

Falmouth Deck Construction: Engineered for Coastal Safety and Longevity

A reliable deck requires structural integrity that goes far beyond the surface boards. We engineer outdoor spaces built to withstand Buzzards Bay winds, relentless salt air, and harsh seasonal moisture.

Exceeding Code Requirements: Advanced load-bearing engineering to manage severe coastal weather and heavy winter snows.
100% In-House Carpentry: Your build is executed by our dedicated team, never outsourced to random subcontractors.
Moisture Defense Integration: Precise ledger board flashing to protect your home's structural envelope from water damage.
Fully Licensed & Insured: Massachusetts CSL 120645 | HIC 198901.

The Upper Cape Reality: Failing Ledger Boards and Hidden Rot

Why do older decks become unsafe in Falmouth? The primary threat to your outdoor living space isn’t scuffed decking—it’s water infiltration.

Most contractors use “generic” framing techniques. In Barnstable, this leads to:

The Waterfront Threat (Woods Hole & East Falmouth): Constant airborne salt from the coast corrodes cheap fasteners, quietly weakening the structural joints that hold your deck together.
The Inland Threat (North Falmouth & Hatchville): High humidity and shaded properties trap moisture against the house. If inexperienced contractors improperly attach the deck to your home without rigorous flashing, water silently rots the wall cavities behind the ledger board long before you notice a problem.

The Lions Framing Protocol: Building from the Ground Up

How do we guarantee structural stability? We focus heavily on the skeleton of the build before we ever consider the cosmetics.

Footing & Foundation Audits

We ensure posts are anchored below the deep New England frost line to prevent winter heaving and structural shifting.

Heavy-Duty Substructures

We utilize premium pressure-treated lumber sized to handle massive weight loads and extreme environmental stress.

Advanced Ledger Flashing

We actively integrate the deck's connection point into your home's weather-resistive barrier, forcing wind-driven rain away from vulnerable wood framing.

The Hidden Danger of Deck "Resurfacing"

Should I just put new composite boards over my old framing? No. “Resurfacing” is a widespread industry shortcut that places your family at risk. Nailing heavy, waterproof composite boards directly over decades-old, weathered joists traps moisture underneath and accelerates fungal decay. Lions Siding & Roofing refuses to compromise your safety. We perform comprehensive structural evaluations and strongly advocate for complete rebuilds when the underlying skeleton is compromised.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Yuri, my whole career has been spent in the construction business. I am particularly impressed by your company. From sales and estimating through scheduling and field coordinating all of your assets have been far above average. Ty made a great presentation as a sales representative of your company and Iago supervised a very competent crew, responded to my concerns about schedule and finished this job early with little interruption in our lives. Thank you again for your excellent service.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ty Soares, who works for this company, is a kind individual, a man who can be relied on and trusted. He found me stranded and lost with my two dogs in a conservation area parking lot and took time out of his busy day to give my dogs water and he drove me and my dogs to my car which was a few miles away. I am getting an estimate for new windows from this company because if their employees are like Ty, that is who I want to do business with.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Thanks to Yuri, Ty, Gabriel and the entire Lions Roofing Team for an amazing job installing our new roof. From start to finish, this is a first class company that makes sure they deliver what they promise and that the customer is satisfied when the job is complete. Ty did a thorough pre-inspection of both the inside and outside of the roof area, eaves ridge and gutters. The written quote was one of the best I've ever received and they provided copies of their insurance and license for piece of mind. Project Manager Gabriel was on site before, during and after completion, and always available to answer any questions. The overall job was completed in one day, with a follow-up day for a couple of hours to finish a couple of additional requests I had. One point I must bring up was how clean the job site was after they were done. If you have any roofing or siding projects coming up. I give my endorsement to Lions Siding and Roofing!
Thanks again!
