Window & Door Replacement In Barnstable, MA

BARNSTABLE WINDOW & DOOR REPLACEMENT: PROTECTING THE THERMAL ENVELOPE

The window needs of a home in West Barnstable differ vastly from a waterfront property in Hyannis Port. One requires strict adherence to historic preservation; the other demands high-impact ratings against Nantucket Sound gales.

Village-Specific Compliance: Expertise in Old King’s Highway (OKH) and local historical mandates.
Thermal Efficiency: High-performance glazing that reduces HVAC load during humid Cape summers and freezing winters.
In-House Accountability: We do not farm your project out to unknown subcontractors. Our uniformed, trained crew manages the install.
Fully Licensed & Insured: CSL 120645 | HIC 198901.

THE HIDDEN COSTS OF "DRAFTY CHARM" & SALT CORROSION

Barnstable’s geography presents a dual threat to your home’s exterior. To the north, the damp, shaded woodlands encourage moss and rot around wooden sills. To the south, wind-driven salt spray acts as an abrasive, etching glass and corroding standard hardware.

We frequently encounter homes in Centerville and Marstons Mills where previous “upgrades” failed because they ignored these realities.

Seal Failure: When you see condensation between the panes, the insulating gas is gone. Your window is no longer a thermal barrier; it is just a hole in the wall.
Rotten Rough Openings: Moisture gets behind the trim of aging homes. If left unchecked, this compromises the structural studs, not just the window frame.
Operation Failure: Swollen wood and corroded tracks turn simple ventilation into a physical struggle.

THE LIONS INSTALLATION PROTOCOL

We define our success by what you don’t see: water intrusion, air infiltration, and crooked reveals.

Total Tear-Out (The Forensic Approach)

We specialize in full-frame replacement. We strip the opening down to the studs. This allows us to identify and repair hidden water damage before installing the new unit. You cannot build a secure home on a rotten foundation.

The Historic Match (Northside Focus)

For our clients in Barnstable Village and West Barnstable, maintaining the timeline of the home is non-negotiable. We source wood-clad units with authentic historic sill profiles and Simulated Divided Lites (SDL) that satisfy the strictest architectural review boards.

The Coastal Fortification (Southside Focus)

For properties facing the Sound, we install units with upgraded Design Pressure (DP) ratings and stainless steel coastal hardware packages. We utilize a multi-layer flashing integration system that directs water away from the sheathing, protecting your interior walls from nor'easters.

The Finishing Standard

We use cellular PVC trim (Azek/Kleer) heat-formed to match your home’s existing architecture. It looks like wood, paints like wood, but it will never rot.

WHY WE REJECT THE "INSERT" SHORTCUT

Many contractors in the mid-Cape area push “Insert Windows” because they are fast and cheap. They leave your old, likely compromised wooden frame in place and glue a smaller vinyl window inside it.

Lions Siding & Roofing advises against this for most Barnstable homes.

Loss of Light: Inserts significantly reduce your glass surface area.
Hidden Rot: If the old frame is leaking, an insert just traps that moisture, accelerating structural decay.
The Lions Way: We believe in doing the job once. Full-frame replacement restores the structural integrity and maximizes your view.

RESTORING LIGHT AND SECURITY

Our work spans the architectural spectrum of the town.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Yuri, my whole career has been spent in the construction business. I am particularly impressed by your company. From sales and estimating through scheduling and field coordinating all of your assets have been far above average. Ty made a great presentation as a sales representative of your company and Iago supervised a very competent crew, responded to my concerns about schedule and finished this job early with little interruption in our lives. Thank you again for your excellent service.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ty Soares, who works for this company, is a kind individual, a man who can be relied on and trusted. He found me stranded and lost with my two dogs in a conservation area parking lot and took time out of his busy day to give my dogs water and he drove me and my dogs to my car which was a few miles away. I am getting an estimate for new windows from this company because if their employees are like Ty, that is who I want to do business with.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Thanks to Yuri, Ty, Gabriel and the entire Lions Roofing Team for an amazing job installing our new roof. From start to finish, this is a first class company that makes sure they deliver what they promise and that the customer is satisfied when the job is complete. Ty did a thorough pre-inspection of both the inside and outside of the roof area, eaves ridge and gutters. The written quote was one of the best I've ever received and they provided copies of their insurance and license for piece of mind. Project Manager Gabriel was on site before, during and after completion, and always available to answer any questions. The overall job was completed in one day, with a follow-up day for a couple of hours to finish a couple of additional requests I had. One point I must bring up was how clean the job site was after they were done. If you have any roofing or siding projects coming up. I give my endorsement to Lions Siding and Roofing!
Thanks again!
